This hotel occupies a 200-year-old restored Portuguese country house on an inland lane. Though granpa himself is long deceased and the place has changed management, the name has stuck as a mark of respect. A small pool, a lush garden, and simple, well-maintained rooms make this a well-priced place to stay in Anjuna. The multicuisine restaurant is a step up from the shack restaurants that line the beach.
