Dudhsagar Waterfalls

Dudhsagar Waterfalls Review

With a name that means "sea of milk," the Dudhsagar Waterfalls are spectacular and imposing, with water cascading almost 2,000 feet down a cliff to a rock-ribbed valley. Pack refreshments and bath towels, and plan to spend a morning here. Monkeys, birds, bees, butterflies, and thick foliage complete the wild experience. The ideal time for a trek here is October-April; during the monsoon, the road that approaches it is inaccessible. The Goa Tourism Development Corporation runs tours to Dudhsagar from Panaji and Calangute. Tours include the waterfall and the nearby Tambdi Surla temple built by the Kadambas (9 am-6 pm). The price for tours varies depending on whether your bus has a/c or not. You could also take a train to Dudhsagar from Margao and get there in an hour and a half.
