Don't be fooled by the name -- this chic Southeast Asian place gets everything else right. The rooms are airy and cheerful, with cream-color walls and blond-wood furniture, and the contemporary artwork is often for sale. The tangy papaya salad is a stunner, and it looks fantastic on the restaurant's contemporary yellow and coral-color crockery. The Thai curries are equally divine, and best of all, the vegetable dishes are intriguing and delicious, from phak choy to stir-fried Tibetan zucchini to eggplant with white mushrooms. There are plenty of salads and noodles to distract you as well. It's hard to have a bad meal here, especially at these prices.
