Book NowITC Maurya Review
A favorite with executives and dignitaries, the Maurya works hard to style itself as the swankest hotel in Delhi, and the whole place has the buzz of importance. The lobby soars, yet somehow creates intimacy in reds, browns, and a three-tiered, wood-beamed dome painted with a fantastic technicolor mural. Fountains outside the picture windows add a natural touch. Rooms are essentially Western, in masculine color schemes, but they take many forms; the more money you spend, the more wood paneling, plush carpeting, and pampering you receive.

Three of us stayed at the beautiful well appointed ITC Maurya hotel between October 5 through 9, 2007. The stay as usual was excellent, in spite of the somewhat steep price and reducing amenities. (Last time I stayed there, they had a massage chair in the same type of an executive room). But, in general, without doubt, it is perhaps one of the best hotels of New Delhi if not the best.
That said, however, the Travel Desk there is a bit disorganized. I had made arrangement for a taxi to pick us up, clearly one taxi for the three of us were arriving together, but they sent three taxis and charged us for all of the three, although we all fit in one.
I had made a prior reservation for a trip to Agra, but they did not have that reservation, although it was done fifteen days ahead of our trip and I had reconfirmed it the day before we arrived. However, in their defence, the driver was good, the cars were great and the ride was great.
All in all ITC is perhaps the best hotel to stay in New Delhi and I will certainly stay there again.
Other than that, our stay at the hotel was excellent. Food, decor, support of the staff, everything is excellent and will spoil travellers from the United States or even Europe perhaps.
