$-$$, Connaught Place
Fodor's Review:
This pleasant hotel has a twist: it occupies six upper floors of a hideous office building just off Connaught Place. The cream-color lobby is warm and welcoming, with plush sitting areas and contemporary paintings. The larger rooms overlook Barakhamba Road; look to the right and you'll see Delhi's prestigious redbrick Modern School. All rooms have earth-tone Western furnishings, including teak wardrobes. Deluxe rooms have polished marble floors, Oriental rugs, and bathtubs; standard ("executive") rooms have wall-to-wall carpeting and showers. The 21st-floor art deco restaurant and bar have fabulous views, a rarity in Delhi; try to dine on the terrace in winter.
