When to Go in Calcutta

When to Go

The peak tourist season in India runs from mid-September through March.

During the peak season, you should expect crowds. Make all reservations well in advance. If you go to a popular festival, that, too, will be crowded with other tourists and villagers.

Climate

The following are average daily maximum and minimum temperatures for Calcutta: December-February 54-85°F (12-29°C); March, October, and November 64-94°F (18-34°C); April-September 79-97°F (26-36°C).
