Fodor's Review:
Inspired decoration has turned this place into one of the best hotels in Calcutta. Everything in the long, white building -- right in the thick of things on Park Street -- has been designed with care: the lobby sparkles with mirrors and cut-glass chandeliers amid rich wood and marble, for example. Even the restaurants and café are creative in everything from a daring black art deco-meets-Zen style to simple tasks, such as serving cappuccino. The rooms are comfortable, if small, and the staff are cheerful and helpful. The bar and nightclub are very popular with both Indians and expats.
