There's a tangibly friendly vibe at this 1963 Juhu Beach hotel, which you approach via a small circular driveway that curves up to a sleek exterior. The lobby leads out to a lovely garden patio and pool overlooking the sand -- a major plus point of the hotel. In spite of the hotel's upscale facilities, there is something slightly off-key about the place -- a sort of B-grade Hindi-movie air -- which can perhaps be attributed to its age. But the rooms are comfortable and modern. Rooms, half of which face the sea, are equipped with an electric kettle, a safe, and a hair dryer; bathrooms could use a facelift. Breakfast and airport pickup are complimentary. Despite its mildy eccentric nature, Sun 'n' Sand offers the best value for money among the hotels that line Juhu Beach.
