Fodor's Review:
This white, four-story hotel built in 1935 has an old-fashioned, Raj-era appearance and sits on the waterfront in the shadow of the Gateway of India. Although the front desk isn't always as helpful as it could be, this hotel is nonetheless a memorable, convenient, and cost-effective place to stay. The rooms -- especially the bathrooms -- are clean. The sea-facing rooms (called suites-apartments) cost Rs. 300 more than the standard rooms and are reserved for extended stays -- a month or so-only, but they have grand views of the waterfront, so try to stay in one if you can.
