$$$$, Vile Parle
Fodor's Review:
This small eco-hotel has low-key but attractive rooms that are brightly lit, decently sized, and very comfortable. The hotel is right next to Bombay's domestic airport, and minutes from the international airport. Boasting proudly of "eco-friendly waste-management and recycling policies," the hotel built its "green" rooms with a minimal amount of wood, plastic, and paper. A bedside button allows you to turn up your air-conditioning thermostat by a degree or so to save energy. The waterfall, which runs on recycled water, looks like falling glass -- it lights up the lobby and provides humidity for the lustrous orchids that populate the hotel's interior.
