Innumerable marriages have been fixed and business deals struck over the years at the Taj Mahal hotel's most attractive restaurant. It's a very classy lounge -- squishy sofas, simple glass tables, and upholstered chairs are scattered across a plush carpet, patterned in wavelike swirls; all in warm greens and blues. The backdrop is a technicolor view of the magnificent Gateway of India, the blue ocean, and a harbor full of bobbing sailboats. Make sure you take a window booth. The menu is not elaborate but the food is simple but tasty. Do dig into the selection of Indian snack platters. Don't miss the Viennoise coffee ice cream.
