$$-$$$, Sahar
Fodor's Review:
One of Bombay's newer hotels is indeed grand, with attentive and efficient service to match. Rooms overlook a pleasant shrubbery-lined atrium where meals are served. The hotel is spacious and luxurious, with expanses of granite and marble. It's the only hotel in Bombay that has a lovely Indian look: jharokas (window carved) and luxury reminiscent of an ancient palace. Opt for pool-facing rooms. The rooms are posh with colorful accents -- light green silk curtains and plush patterned carpets -- and fancy bathrooms (with tubs and glass shower cubicles and lots of marble). This is a good deal -- a lot of luxury for a lot less money than you might pay elsewhere. There are three excellent Indian food restaurants and a Continental restaurant -- Peshawari serves northwest frontier food, Dakshin serves South Indian food, and Dum Pukht serves Mughlai food.
