One of the city's most luxurious hotels, the Shangri-La offers excellent service. Still, the hotel could do with a refit. The English-speaking staff is very helpful—you'll find yourself wondering how they manage to tidy up your room and turn down your bed during the half hour you spent swimming laps in the indoor pool. The hotel is 15 minutes northeast of the city center.
