Near the International Bazaar, this smart Uyghur eatery looks as though it should be very pricey. The ornate room is outfitted with carved wood and Arabic-style arches, and the staff is smartly attired. The excellent food is the best bargain in town. Few of the waiters speak Mandarin, let alone English, but there is a picture menu: point to the pilaf or the lamb dumplings. No alcohol is served.
