Getting Oriented
Southwest China can be summed up in one word: diversity. The regions of Guangxi, Guizhou, and Yunnan offer some of China's most singular travel experiences. Guilin and Yangshuo in Guangxi are surrounded by otherworldly karst mountains and idyllic rivers. Qianling Park in Guizhou's capital, Guiyang, has a beautiful Buddhist temple, hundreds of monkeys, and amazing city views. Stretching between Tibet and Vietnam, Yunnan Province's geographic, biological, and ethnic diversity is unparalleled anywhere else in China. This part of the world must be seen to be believed.
