Resembling a Japanese home, this excellent restaurant sits at the southern end of Guilin's Zhengyang Lu pedestrian mall. The interior, calling to mind a temple, has a low-key vibe. The sashimi and sushi—not easy to find in cities away from the coast—are fresh and excellent. The best deals are the four-course lunch specials, which begin with miso soup and end with a dessert made from sweetened bean curd.
