Puxian Temple (Puxian Si)

Puxian Temple (Puxian Si) Review

If you can find it, the Puxian Temple is a tranquil place to get away from the crowds. You can refuel with some local snacks from the temple's vegetarian snack restaurant. Try fried Naxi potatoes (they're purple), jidoufen, a bean concoction that can be eaten hot as a porridge, or cold and cut up like noodles—the ubiquitous Naxi baba bread is also quite good. Wash it all down with a pot of Tibetan yak butter tea.
