Pujian Temple

  • Address: Qi Yi Jie, Lijiang

Fodor's Review:

If you can find it, the Pujian Temple (Pujian Si) is a tranquil place to get away from the crowds. You can refuel with some local snacks from the temple's vegetarian snack restaurant. Try fried Naxi potatoes (they're purple), jidoufen, a bean concoction that can be eaten hot as a porridge, or cold and cut up like noodles—the ubiquitous Naxi baba bread is also quite good. Wash it all down with a pot of Tibetan yak butter tea and get back to finding your way around town.
