Conveniently located on Kunming's central pedestrian area, the New Era Hotel has well-furnished rooms with views on the west mountains and the crawling crowd below. The lobby includes a small bar and a business area and may seem a little uninviting, but all other amenities are in good condition, and breakfast on the top floor of the tallest building around is simply memorable.
