If you ask a local about classic Chongqing-style hotpot, you might be steered to this restaurant. Sure enough, it serves up a highly authentic version of the city's signature dish. The big pot of broth is served hot, and soon comes to a boil over a burner in the center of your table. Choose from tofu, vegetables, or raw shaved beef and mutton and cook them by placing them in the broth. Qiqi Shanyu has all the classic ingredients, but also has a few tricks up its sleeve, such as compartmentalized pots for cooking different ingredients with different cooking times.
