Xiangbala Restaurant (Xiāngbālā cānguǎng)

Fodor's Review

At this Tibetan outpost, groups of cowboys crowd around tables shooting the breeze as solitary monks eat quietly in the corner. Everything is traditional—the kitchen makes its own yogurt and uses yak meat from the grasslands. The tea, which arrives in big pots, is delicious. The Tibetan- and Chinese-language menus have pictures, which smooths the ordering process somewhat. Some bread, yak noodles, and a few dumplings will satisfy almost anyone. The restaurant sits on

a street of Tibetan establishments near Wuhou Temple.
