Tairyo Review

Teppanyaki has invaded Shanghai. More down-to-earth than a sophisticated sushi bar, teppanyaki (Japanese barbecue) includes sushi, sashimi, barbecued meats, and a wide variety of Western and Eastern dishes. It does serve à la carte, but at Y150 for all you can eat and drink, Tairyo's main attraction is obvious. Just walk in, take a seat at the grill, and indulge while the chef prepares your dinner as you watch. We recommend the Mongolian King Steak, but the menu has English and pictures, so pick and choose. This is a perfect no-effort dinner destination. Private rooms are available for groups larger than seven (reservations essential).
