Lu Xun Park and Memorial

Lu Xun Park and Memorial Review

Lu Xun (1881-1936)—scholar, novelist, and essayist—is considered the founder of modern Chinese literature. He is best known for his work The True Story of Ah Q. The park holds his tomb and a statue of the writer, as well as a museum of manuscripts, books, and photos related to his life and career. The park is usually full of pockets of people chatting, playing badminton, or doing a myriad of other activities.

Very much worthwhile if you have a liking for Lu Xun's literature or the May 4th period in Chinese history. Non-history/literature buffs won't get much out of it other than another pretty park. People who can read Chinese will also benifit more, as the museum's translations are sometimes more than a little perfunctory.
