Da Marco

Da Marco Review

Its reasonably priced authentic Italian fare makes Da Marco a universal favorite in Shanghai. The original location, on Dong Zhu An Bang Lu, is a magnet for Italian expats in search of a late dinner, whereas the Yandang Lu location attracts a mix of locals, expats, and tourists. Lasagna, ravioli, Caprese salad, and pizza (11 types) are among the classic dishes on the menu. The wine list includes many selections under Y200. Three-course set lunches are a popular option. You can choose alfresco dining under the bright orange awning or a comfy seat on the banquette in the sunshine-yellow dining room.

The food is good, the only think is you needed to get in early. The place packs and it's a mad house. It's one of the oldest Italian restaurants in Shanghai. The owner is also the cook. The prices are good and not expensive. You should call ahead on the weekends to book a table.
