Radisson Plaza Xing Guo Review

This quiet garden property was once the government-owned Xing Guo Hotel, a villa complex where Chairman Mao frequently stayed. The modern 16-story Radisson Plaza sprouted up in 2002, its garden-view rooms overlooking the central lawn and Mao's legendary Villa No. 1. The comfortable beige-tone rooms have ample work space, with two club chairs and a large desk. The Clark Hatch Fitness Center has top-name equipment, an aerobics room, and an elevated pool. Although the hotel's location in the consular district means it's far from the subway and most attractions, many guests still prefer its tranquil setting over the hustle and bustle of downtown Puxi.
