YMCA Hotel Review
Its central location within a 15-minute walk of People's Square, Xintiandi, and the Bund makes the YMCA Hotel a top destination for budget travelers. Built in 1929 as an actual YMCA, the 11-story brick building retains some of its original features: a temple-like exterior and painted ceiling beams on the second floor. The four dormitory rooms have single beds, rather than bunks. This is also a good chance for you to practice your bargaining skills, as discounts are almost always available.
