Captain Hostel Review
Backpackers choose Captain Hostel, one of the few hostels in Shanghai, as much for its rooftop bar and restaurant as for its clean, bright rooms and convenient location a half-block west of the Bund. The dormitories accommodate five to 10 people per room in bunks resembling ships' berths, in keeping with the nautical theme in this 1920s hotel. The 20 first-class rooms are tired but fair-sized, with TVs and private bathrooms. Bunk rooms must be paid for in cash.
