Shanghai Restaurants

Grape (Pútáoyuán)

Updated 05/28/2013

Fodor's Review

This cheerful restaurant's name gives no hint of what it serves—entry-level Shanghainese food that's been a favorite for decades among expatriates and travelers wandering the Former French Concession. The English menu, complete with photos, includes such recognizable fare as sweet-and-sour pork and lemon chicken, as well as delicious dishes like garlic shrimp and jiachang doufu (home-style bean curd), all of which are served with a smile.
