MGM Macau Review
Rooms are everything you'd expect in the way of comfort and elegance from a luxury accommodation, with decor adhering to a muted cream, brown, and beige color palette, but it's the classy world around them that distinguishes this hotel from the rest. A golden lion statue stands guard over the grounds on the peninsula's southern coast; the spectacular Grande Praça (Grand Square), an 82-foot-tall floor-to-glass-ceiling space modeled after a Portuguese town square, serves as an inner courtyard and has fine dining under the stars; and a few million Hong Kong dollars were invested in the permanent chandelier sculpture and original drawings by Dale Chihuly decorating the hotel lobby and reception. Chihuly's glassworks line the hall linking the art gallery to the patisserie, giving it a warm pink glow, while Lion's Bar provides live entertainment.
