Fodor's Review

In the heart of Yau Ma Tei, Temple Street is home to Hong Kong's biggest night market. Stalls selling kitsch of all kinds set up in the late afternoon in the blocks north of Public Square Street. Fortune-tellers, open-air cafés, and street doctors also offer their services here.

Authentic Experience but few bargains

The night markets in Temple Street and surrounds are almost a mandatory sight in HK, but don't expect too many bargains. They seem to go on and on and on, with plenty of cheap and cheerful souvenirs and T-shirts (mostly the same at all the stalls), but you'll need to haggle hard to get the best price here.
