Tim Ho Wan
Tim Ho Wan Review
Don't let the undiscerning storefront fool you—Tim Ho Wan is an award-winning eatery that serves some of the city's best dim sum. Opened by a former Four Seasons Hotel chef, this humble Mong Kok eatery makes all of its shrimp dumplings, rice rolls, baked cha siu buns, and such, fresh to order. It's top-quality food at dirt-cheap prices. But be warned—the shop is small, and its popularity is immense, so go at off hours between 2:30 pm and 5 pm, or you might find yourself waiting up to half an hour for a seat. There are Tim Ho Wan branches in Sham Shui Po, North Point, and Central, but this Mong Kok flagship remains the most popular.
