Top Deck

Top Deck Review

For a long time the Jumbo Floating Restaurant and Dragon Court were the only places to eat at Aberdeen's famed Jumbo Kingdom. But now there's Top Deck, a classier, less kitschy, if equally pricey alfresco option on the roof deck of the big boat, beneath a three-story pagoda. It has a vastly better view (and breeze) than the indoor restaurants beneath. If the weather permits, you should sit outdoors. The menu is somewhat haphazard (Thai, Japanese, Indian, Italian, steak) but generally good. The raw bar is the best option, if you like seafood. There's a Saturday and Sunday brunch every week.

Best enjoyed with a gang of friends over a long lunch on the weekend because there's loads of room for kids to let off steam without annoying anyone. The ambience is kind of Sydney-style....al fresco and very laid back.
