When the Four Seasons opened, in the shadow of the world's sixth-tallest building, there was a collective intake of breath: with the elegantly colorful Chinese-theme rooms and their more muted western counterparts, the place displays equal levels of effortless modern style, yet they're not about trendy minimalism; the smallest of them is a roomy 500 square feet. World-class linens, feng shui elevator banks, heated infinity pools, tropical rain showers, 42-inch plasma TVs, skyline-view hot-rock massages in the city's most cutting-edge spa, clairvoyant service, fantastic restaurants…and this list doesn't even include the holistic effect of staying in a place that's redefining the world's very notion of an urban luxury hotel.
