When the Langham opened in March 2005 as part of the new Langham Place Shopping Center, it ushered in a new era of prestige and prominence for its once seedy, but still refreshingly un-Westernized Mong Kok neighborhood, full of bustling markets, characteristic noodle shops, and, yes, the occasional prostitute. Mao's Red Guards stand at attention at the entrance to this sleek, cyber-age hotel full of glass and steel; it's a great exemplar of that specific science-fiction feel that defines much of modern Hong Kong. The hotel's top three stories are consumed by the Chuan (Chinese spa), with panoramic city views to accompany treatments. The price is significantly lower than what you'd pay for such luxury elsewhere in town.

The room was small but beautifully appointed with shower and tub. Very comfortable beds and pillows, wet bar, large t.v. Restaurant was good. Staff very nice and helpful. Convenient location to get to the subway and mall. Loved my time here!
