Hong Kong Shopping

Pacific Place

Pacific Place Review

Once Hong Kong Island's classiest mall, Pacific Place has since been upstaged by the IFC. Yet it remains popular with well-to-do Hong Kongers, perhaps because it's quieter and more exclusive than most malls. High-end international prêt-à-porter fills most of its four floors, and two department stores, Seibu and Lane Crawford, also have branches here. Live music from its resident grand piano can still sometimes be heard wafting through the floors. When your bags are weighing you down, sandwiches, sushi, and Starbucks are on hand, as is a multiplex cinema. The Marriott, the Island Shangri-La, and the Conrad hotels are connected to this plaza, all with enticing afternoon tea options. Elevated walkways join Pacific Place with three lesser arcades: the Admiralty Centre, United Centre, and Queensway Plaza.
