Isola Review

In the shadow of the world's sixth-tallest building, flowing Isola is everything that the new Hong Kong is all about, especially the outdoor seats amid an urban jungle of concrete, manicured glass, and potted trees in front of the open harbor. But Isola's regional Italian cuisine is authentic, with selections like hand-twisted pasta with Parma ham, black truffle, fava beans, and Norcia cheese; simple and well-executed stone-baked pizzas; or whole sea bass baked in sea-salt crust, served with vegetables. Even so, Isola is as much of a nighttime bar scene as anything else, and it's worth coming just to sample cocktails in the equally trendy Isobar upstairs.
