$-$$, Chinese, Causeway Bay
Fodor's Review:
At the intersection of Nathan Road and Peking Road, this big basement dining room serves first-rate Shanghainese fare at reasonable prices. Pigeon in wine sauce is an excellent appetizer. Goose wrapped in crispy bean curd skin is delicious and authentic, as is the fish smothered in a sweet-and-sour sauce. The Shanghai-style doughnut on the dessert menu is a deep-fried sweet ball whipped up with fluffy egg whites and stuffed with red bean and banana.
