From priceless ornaments to fake pendants, if it's green and shiny it's at the Kansu Street Jade Market. Quality and prices at the 450 stalls vary hugely, so if you're not with a jade connoisseur, stick with the cheap and cheerful. Chaotic street markets continue in Mong Kok, technically the last Kowloon district (Boundary Street marks the beginning of the New Territories, though these days the urbanized areas are known as New Kowloon). It's one of the best places to see gritty Hong Kong.

If all the jade in this market is real, then there probably is none left on Earth! So, don't come looking for that priceless jade antique to take home. Buy something you like the look of and haggle hard. The market did seem a little soulless. Perhaps with more tourists around it may have picked up.
