Hong Kong Nightlife

Delaney's

Delaney's Review

Both branches of Hong Kong's pioneer Irish pub have interiors that were shipped here from the Emerald Isle, and the mood is as authentic as the furnishings. Guinness and Delaney's ale (a specialty microbrew) are on tap, and there are corner snugs (small private rooms) and an Irish menu. The crowd includes some genuine Irish regulars; get ready for spontaneous outbursts of fiddling and other Celtic traditions. Happy hour runs from 5 to 9 pm daily.

We were in Hong Kong over the holidays and looking for a place to watch (at 9:00 am) the Chargers-Broncos game -- found Delaney's and enjoyed appetizers and then lunch. Place was nearly empty, but they were fully staffed and attentive. And it was 9:00 am on a Monday morning (The game was on Sunday Night Football over here at home).

Traditional Irish/Sports Bar feel to it (we went to the Peking Road location) but light and comfortable.
