This business hotel, which opened in early 2008, has a sleek, Zen-like atmosphere, with lots of white and other calming neutral colors, beige wood, glass-walled bathrooms, and plenty of natural light. Rooms have daybeds in front of their large windows, which are perfect for reading or enjoying the view—be it harbor, city, or mountain—while long desks accommodate those with work to get done. The bright and uncluttered Sky Lounge, reserved exclusively for hotel guests, is generally not crowded, and makes a nice place to relax. The 16-meter (52-foot) outdoor rooftop pool, with its expansive views of the bay, is another soothing destination. The hotel's immediate vicinity shuts down after dark, but in the morning it's only a short walk to the galleries and antique shops around Hollywood Road.
