Fodor's Expert Review Central Park Hotel

263 Hollywood Rd., Hong Kong, n/a Hong Kong, Hong Kong

Editor's Note: This location is reported to be under new ownership and therefore this review may contain inaccuracies.

You might get the wrong idea when you enter the lobby and see a glitzy chandelier above bright red furniture and a winding black staircase; rest assured that the rest of the hotel is decorated in a minimalist style, with soothing white, green, and earth tones offsetting low ceilings with big windows and low beds. Garden-view rooms overlook the historic Hollywood Road Park, which is a plus if you are partial to morning birdsong. The upstairs lounge area combines indoor and outdoor spaces. The hotel has no restaurant of its own, but it can offer room service from the award-winning restaurant, Wagyu, right next door.

PROS

  • relaxing decor in a peaceful location

CONS

  • few in-hotel facilities, although guests may use the gym at the sister Lan Kwai Fong Hotel
