If you're planning to travel to several different Asian destinations, Cathay Pacific's All Asia pass is an excellent deal. For $1,500 you get a round-trip ticket from New York (JFK), Los Angeles, or San Francisco to Hong Kong, plus 21 days of unlimited travel to 17 other Asian cities. You can pay supplements to add on cities that aren't included and to extend the pass: $350 buys you up to 90 days. If you register for Cathay's online news, there's a $200 discount. If you just want to combine Hong Kong and one other Cathay destination, though, go for a regular ticket: the airline generally allows a free Hong Kong stopover.

The One World Alliance Visit Asia Pass might work out cheaper for three or four destinations. Cities are grouped into zones, and there's a flat rate for each zone. It doesn't include flights from the United States, however. Inquire through American Airlines, Cathay Pacific, or any other One World member.
