Hutong

$$-$$$, Chinese, Tsim Sha Tsui

User Rating: **** 4.0

Fodor's Review:

It's not hard to see why Hutong is one of the hottest tables in Hong Kong: it has some of the most imaginative food in town, yet it's completely Chinese. Meanwhile, its spot at the top of the dramatic One Peking Road tower overlooks the entire festival of lights that is the Island skyline. Best among a sensational selection of northern Chinese creations are crispy de-boned lamb ribs, whose crackling skin conceals a deep, tender gaminess within. More subtle but equally special is Chinese spinach in a well-developed herbal ginseng broth, and delicate scallops with fresh pomelo. If you have just one meal in Hong Kong, make certain it's here. And remember to reserve well in advance.

Quite expensive. The dishes are unusual and there was very little help from staff in choosing. The view is great ,but try to get a window table. Our view was blocked during the whole light show by patrons standing in front of us getting their picture taken
