Fodor's Review:
High-rise buildings now block the Dorsett's sea view, but the location is still a good one if you want to see traditional Hong Kong. Guest rooms are very small; staff are friendly and efficient. The hotel is close to the Yau Ma Tei MTR as well as decent shopping; Shanghai Street is filled with shops selling everything from handmade kitchenware to temple offerings. The restaurant has bargain-priced buffets, especially for lunch. The hotel often gets very busy with tour groups and checkout can be chaotic.
