InterContinental Hong Kong

$$$$, Kowloon

Fodor's Review:

Perhaps one of the most attractive hotels in Asia, the InterContinental Hong Kong is opulent inside while it offers some of the finest views of the Hong Kong skyline outside. Simply coming here for a spectacularly conceived cocktail at 8 PM to take in the skyline light show is a memorable Hong Kong experience, perhaps equivalent to tea at the Peninsula. The lobby has a delicious airy quality, and the impeccably modern rooms are just as exciting, with luxuriously large beds, desks with ergonomically designed chairs, and superlative showers in the bathrooms. Corner suites have 180-degree harbour views, Dom Perignon is the house champagne in the executive lounge, and the spa is worth e-mailing home about. The incredible restaurant lineup, meanwhile, is soon to include Nobu -- to give Alain Ducasse a bit of company, perhaps.
