This clean and inexpensive hotel has both character and an excellent location. The newly opened four-story establishment has an attractive colonial facade that blends well with the surrounding area. The bright interior surrounds an inner courtyard. Standard rooms are tastefully decorated with Republican-era furniture made of dark wood, though the suites seem more cluttered. If possible, get a room facing Shamian Avenue, the quiet, tree-lined street, which runs the length of the island. There is a karaoke bar and a lovely backyard garden.
