$$$-$$$$, Shenzhen
Fodor's Review:
The location (practically straddling the border with Hong Kong) has made it a popular meeting place, and it's a city landmark. Rooms are first class, hospitality is excellent, and the hotel features in-house wireless Internet and top-notch spa facilities. What really makes Shangri-La worth a visit is the newly renovated 360 Lounge and Restaurant, which takes up the top two floors of the hotel and offers a view of Shenzhen. The Shangri-La also has a number of other excellent restaurants, making it a good choice for first-time visitors who might not want to come into contact with the neighborhood's rougher edges.
