Memorial Garden for the Martyrs

  • Address: Zhongshan San Lu, Guangzhou

Fodor's Review:

Built in 1957, this garden has been planted around a tumulus that contains the remains of 5,000 revolutionaries killed in the 1927 destruction of the Guangzhou Commune by the Nationalists. This was the execution site of many victims. On the grounds is the Revolutionary Museum, which displays pictures and memorabilia of Guangdong's 20th-century rebellions.
