Towering above Haizhu Square and the main bridge across the river, this hotel is in the heart of central Guangzhou. It's managed by China Travel Service of Hong Kong, so a lot of its guests tend to be Hong Kongers on holiday, but the hotel has its fair share of foreign guests as well. There's a great chocolate shop in the lobby, and a small but very pretty Chinese garden and carp pond in the courtyard. The Landmark's location allows it to boast that most guest rooms have great views of the river and city.
