In the northern business suburbs, this huge, aging hotel is famous for its spectacular garden that includes an artificial hill, a waterfall, and pavilions. The cavernous lobby, decorated with enormous murals, has a bar-lounge set around an ornamental pool. Though long considered the standard of luxury in Guangzhou, other hotels are now giving the Garden a run for its money.
