Across from Liuhua Park and the trade-fair headquarters, this complex is built around a 22½-acre garden with pavilions, carp-filled pools, and rock gardens. The lobby is done up in a Renaissance motif, complete with Romanesque pillars and gold-and-white floor tiling. The shopping concourse has Chinese antiques and carpets. The hotel has recently added an 86,000-square-foot convention center. Discounts of up to 30% for rooms in the off-season are not unheard of.
